The Ship, SW18
Thu 3rd Jun 2010
Considering Wandsworth Town is quite a small area it has an abundance of good pubs. For this read, the previously Loafed and listed East Hill, The Alma Tavern, perfectly located just outside the station and, lest we forget, The Grapes - a good, old world London pub. And whilst they all have their own merits it is The Ship, located next to Wandsworth Bridge, which has caught our attention of late.
The Westbourne, W2
Thu 27th May 2010
There is nothing that heralds the beginning of the British summer more than that first glass of Pimms. Quintessentially British, up there with stiff lips and queuing in an orderly fashion, but what you need is somewhere to enjoy it. Check out the terrace at The Westbourne for some fun in the sun.
Inn The Park, SW1A
Thu 20th May 2010
Don't worry about the somewhat indifferent run up to the Summer so far - spend the inexplicably cold days wisely by planning your hot days out at cafe-bars like this. A beautiful spot in which to waste those precious sunny afternoons.
The Old Queen's Head, N1
Thu 20th May 2010
Not up for a club, but still want more than a pub? The Old Queen's Head will cure what ails you. A great boozer on the Essex Road which turns into something a little more bass driven once the sun goes down.
East Dulwich Tavern, SE22
Thu 13th May 2010
Leafy Dulwich is the perfect place for some weekend loafing, so if you find yourself in this South London haven make sure you take the time to check out the East Dulwich Tavern.
